I started writing up quotes in an Excel spreadsheet five years ago. Just for me to go back and be reminded of some of my favourite passages from books. I then transferred these to an excellent Access based program called Inklings, invented by my cousin Chris Bartley.
When that stopped working on my computer, I realised I wanted to share my quotes with the whole world, and so I started this blog. There’s a lot of conversion to be done of my old quotes; sometimes I get inspired and do some.
