Am I wrong, or this this book about ignorance and all that goes wrong when everyone, no matter their intelligence, sticks to their interpretation, or bias, and consciously or not, stops at nothing to prove their point? Hence the differences between the characters, especially Clarissa and Joe, seeing things subjectively or objectively or in Parrys case, through blind faith. Is that not what creates the branching of so much from one incident?
